Treseburg can be reached via the federal roads B 81 Magdeburg - Halberstadt - Nordhausen (about 6 km from Wendefurth), by bus to Thale, Friedrichsbrunn, Wernigerode, Blankenburg, Stiege, Hasselfelde or by train next railway station in Thale (about 7 km away) , Connections to Quedlinburg, Halberstadt, Magdeburg.

Treseburg is now a district of the town of Thale.
