Hotel in Lüchow for sale
Historic guesthouse with many opportunities in Wendland.
This property was home to the beginning of the twentieth century, a writing-house of royal horse-breeding, later a restaurant then a modern Bed and Breakfast pension. This historic building has already undergone many transformations. The term Bed and Breakfast was not really established in Germany, when the current owner decided more than fifteen years ago to take over the restaurant of her mother-in-law and turn it into a cozy, natural-connected holiday home for the whole family. Here the family contact with the guests was in the foreground. It did not take long and from an inn known in the area, became a Europe-wide known pension, which brought its guests the Wendland and the Lüneburger Heide.
Even today, the owner regrets that she had to give up her "life-work", but when her husband got the chance to unfold in Switzerland, her real home, she liked to go with her. Even today, she comes back regularly to see if everything is all right. But not only does it convince itself that everything is in order, weekly the house is cleaned and the mother-in-law as well as a hired housemeisterservices look regularly to the right.
Even today this house has not lost its flair yet, it is only waiting to be rediscovered. It is versatile, a boarding house or a conference house are just as feasible as the alternative residential community. Whether young or old, everyone feels comfortable here. The house has been constantly renovated and modernized, until today it is regularly cleaned, there is a own caretaker as well as a gardener who always look to the right.
In the front part of the house, there is a dining room (the former restaurant), a kitchen, guest WCs, a large hall (about 116 m²) and three double bedrooms with bath and three guest apartments. In the back part of the house you can see that the son architect is by profession, here is the home of his family. This area has been designed and modified with great attention to detail. For example, a two-storey glazed atrium was created, combining old and new buildings. But glass played an important role not only in the construction of the atrium, but the apartment is also bright and friendly thanks to numerous glass inserts. And if you want to spend your evenings directly in the open, the courtyard has the possibility to do so.
If the 600 m² of land directly on the house are a bit too little, you have to walk only once across the street, here you can let free rein on 8,600 m². "Königshorst" sounds not only royal, but it was also at the time. This place was founded around 1866 only for the horse education. Here, so-called Remonten (three to four-year-old horses) were trained for the employment in the imperial army. At that time the object to be sold served as a writing-house and administration building. It was not until 1923 that the former stables were converted into settlements.
But even today, it is still possible to place horses and spend their free time on the back of the noble four-legged friends. Königshorst is located about 1 km from Wustrow and about 5 km from Lüchow, here you will find everything that makes the daily life worth living, as well as shops, doctors, schools and kindergartens. And for a good transport connection, the bus stops right outside the door.
